About

I have over 25 years of clinical experience in clinics, day treatment facilities treating chronic mentally ill adults and emotionally disturbed youth and their families. I have provided bereavement counseling and worked as an Employee Assistant Professional (EAP) for the postal service and as a Military and Family Life Consultant (MFLC) in Europe with the active duty, military reserves, and their families. I have had a psychotherapy private practice since being licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in 1996 where my primary focus has been working with individuals and couples.

I received my BFA from California College of the Arts, formerly CCAC, and have been a professional artist. I hold a MA from Notre Dame de Namur University (formerly CND) in Marriage and Family Therapy with a specialization in art therapy and in 2016 received a Ph.D. in Art Therapy. For close to 20 years I have been a professor at several local Universities teaching MFT students and art therapists. I have developed programs, provided clinical trainings to school staff, non-profit organizations, graduate schools and agencies as well as presented papers and been on panels at national and statewide conferences.
